Pickin' Berries

Anytime we can get out into nature we can, we do!  On a beautiful Saturday afternoon we took a ride to The Holland U-Pick Blueberry Farm.  We were picking berries the size of grapes and none of them were sour!

The land was gorgeous and surrounded by trees which transformed you into a world of calm, warm sunshine and away from the concrete jungle we frequent.

Atticus LOVES blueberries, I'm certain he ate more directly off the bush than made it in the bucket.  He was a trooper and ran all around the field.  He enjoyed the sound of roosters in the distance as well as the noises occasionally from other livestock.

 My family pickin' away!

 HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY MOM!
You've held that title proud for 27 years in a row!

At first Ben thought it would be silly to go and pick fruit when you can get it at the store...after all, he is a trained fire-fighter who rides a Kawasaki Ninja and has joined the Navy in the medical field...but as you can see he came around and had a blast!

If you live in Brevard, Orange, Seminole, or Volusia County I would Highly Recommend you taking an afternoon trip to this little nugget tucked away in Mims.  The people are great and the fruit is phenomenal!

After picking many pounds of fruit, we headed home....on the way home, Leigh saw a sign for U-Pick it strawberries and she couldn't contain herself.  So when we got home she and Beth headed out for some strawberries.

Let me take you down, 'cause I'm going to Strawberry Fields.
Nothing is real and nothing to get hung about. Strawberry Fields forever.
