Orlando City are the Champions! PART 2

Like promised I have more "photos" from the game.  Like I said in my previous post (CLICK HERE FOR PREVIOUS POST AND PANORAMIC PHOTO) I was in the stands for this game rather than down on the field so I didn't bring a telephoto.
What a game it was.  Enjoy the photos and an extra bonus, a 720p video!

Lovely Nouns

When taking photos, I always look for the beauty in something.  Whether its an obvious flower or a busted up and forgotten shed in the middle of an open field, my shutter is always looking for the positives and not the negatives.

The world around us is so creative.  The colors and patterns are too many to number.  As humans, we've found our identity in clothing and make-up.  Imagine how similar we would look to one another if we ran around naked!

Sometimes it's the act that is more beautiful than the image.  On the left are state magnets (all fifty) that used to be on my grandmother's refrigerator.  Atticus has recently discovered them on our fridge and has been pulling them off an playing with them just as I did when I was little.  Coincidently, or maybe not, her orchids bloomed this week. They remind me of her whenever I look outside at them.

What's prettier than a margarita with organic Passion Vine friut preserves from Hawaii? (Thanks Laine!)

Food is almost always georgous, especially when it's homemade banana pancakes or pizza

Ok, so not so beautiful, but I liked this photo so deal with it!

We began as "photographers" when this dude was born.  We bought a decent camera and it was all uphill from their.  Whenever we do sessions with clients it's for three reasons" 1) The love of photography, 2) The ability to make lasting images that our clients will treasure forever, and 3) To continue to upgrade our equipment so we can photograph our own family.  In the last two years we've filled a 500GB hardrive just with photos of our own family.

Leigh recently had the opportunity to photograph a Very Special person in her life...her Granny.  The two photos in the background are of her from earlier decades and although the red hair is gone, the smile and love are ever-present.

While Leigh took her Granny's photos she also snapped a few of her Mom.  I'd say Leigh has a lot to look forward to!

Toon Army goes down in "Toon Town"

I couldn't wait for this game to start!  As I was down on the plastic pitch my Wife, my Brother, his Girlfriend, my Bro-In-Law, my Mom, and my Dad were all at Will Call getting ready to bring my son into the Football world for the first time!

I was again on assignment to get photos of local stars Dennis Chin (Oviedo) and Matt Luzanaris ( played 1 year at UCF and is from Florida himself).  With 25 mins to game time, Newcastle beings warming up on the turf of which they refused to play on at first.

Gutierrez, Ameobi, and Alan Smith among others getting ready.

The fans were ready to go!  Welcome to America Newcastle, we're not pushovers here anymore!

Gotta give a shout out to Los Guerrilloz & O-Town Hooligans, I missed you guys last game so I made sure to get ya this time!

Great turnouts by both sides.  Plenty of support from the Toon Army as well as the multiple Orlando City supporters groups!  A new attendance record of  10,889, it was a great atmosphere in an otherwise huge staduim!

Coaches take the pitch.....it's game time!

The game began with good action from both sides, and each got good chances on goal.

Luzunaris of OC getting up!

A great shot by Max and an equally talented save by the goalkeeper!

Dennis Chin taking control of the ball and backing down Jose Enrique

Post goal celebration!  Lots of love for both the assist and the goal, Chin couldn't have made it easier!  Dennis got a good run on a ball and put himself in position for a simple pass across the mouth of the goal and an easy shot by Molino.

Late substitution by Newcastle brings in ex-West Ham striker and new addition to Newcastle, Demba Ba.

My Son up in the stands seeing his first live football match!
I made him a Newcastle shirt because I was wearing my Orlando City Shirt....by really im a Fulhamerican (Fulham FC supporter in America).  My beautiful wife Leigh on the Left and my Mum on the Right.

My Bro and his girlfriend Kimberly, and my son and I on the pitch after the game!

I already have him passing a soccer ball back and forth with me, it's only a matter of time before this footballer is either leading the defense as a goalscoring-sweeper like his old man, controlling the midfield like his uncles, or putting them into the back of the net as a striker!

The Pingston Family

We have been so busy these past few weeks with birthdays, holidays, and photo shoots I almost forgot to blog this session! We always love when we get the chance to photograph this family cause well they're MY family! :) Part of it anyways! Daniel is my cousin and Dawn is now my cousin-in-law. Our babies.....er toddlers.....are just a few weeks apart and it has been so much fun watching them grow up together!! Dawn took care of our boy for the first year of his life while I still worked. Our little ones became best friends which was so cute! Of course they dont see each other as much anymore so it's always nice when we can get together!

Besides being absolutely ADORABLE this little girl has the cutest, spunkiest personality!! :) She is all girl in her attitude and I don't think it's far off to call her a diva! Mom and Dad have their hands full but she is one little piece of work I love to have around! She's worth it. :)

Usually she is all smiles but when it came to this lollipop she was all business!! Her mom told me she ate this thing all the way home(about an hour). She fell asleep mid-trip and woke back up and started eating it again! :) LoL!

Love You Pingston Family!! :) Can't wait to do it again!!

Jodi's Senior Session

Is that top picture not fierce?!?!?! I know i'm channeling Tyra Banks on America's Next Top Model when I say that but that just happens to be the first word that comes to mind! :)  I admit I watch that show on occasion but as a photographer i'm allowed! Never the less this session rocked my socks off! Not only did we have a gorgeous model but the location we shot at was INCREDIBLE! We've shot here before but didn't explore it much that time. This time we got brave and it was sooo worth it! Jodi was such a trooper and did every crazy thing we asked. For being one of those "I hate getting my picture taken people" she totally worked it! Unfortunately for any modeling agencies out there she has her heart set on a soccer career!

We started at her house which I love to do if the situation arises! It really helps to break the ice and get everyone comfortable before we really get into the session. Fortunately they had some really beautiful brick! I <3 brick and take every opportunity to shoot with it as possible!

Had to get a shot with the ol ' War Eagle! Of course these photos were close to Mark and I's heart because Astronaut High is our Alma Mater. I cannot believe it's been 8 years already! I feel old saying that!

Jodi thank you for such a fun morning! You are an incredibly fun and gorgeous girl! So much luck to you in the remaining few weeks of high school and your many adventures ahead in the "Real World"! :)
